India adventure

My holidays are a little bit different from the average.

Instead of sipping Cocktails on the beach in Bali, I prefer the more hands on, off the beaten track, high adventure type thing, and being able to tie this in with equine welfare is a huge bonus to me. In fact I wouldn't have my holiday any other way, even if it means arriving home more exhausted than when I left.

The last few weeks in India have been exhausting, but great. I've lived out of a suitcase never staying in one place for more than two nights, worked my ass off all day long in 40 degree heat and seen some pretty horrifying shit.

But I love it, I've got to work with a great team of vets, equine dentists and farriers and we have made a real difference in the area we've visited.

I've seen parts of India the average tourist doesn't know exists, and gotten to interact with locals, in the slums, countryside and high rises alike.

I've seen the major tourist draw cards to, when our roadside clinics had us rubbing up against the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and various other ancient ruins and palaces.

Camels, elephants horses mules and donkeys are part of everyday life for me and I wouldn't have it any other way. So here's a few pictures to show some of the adventure.

I'm in India

Hey everyone I'm currently sitting on the floor in a hotel room in
Agra, India trying to get an Internet connection.

Here's a little of what I've been up to, a post I typed up last night for the charity website
